Meet Our Board

The following officers have been elected to serve on the board of directors for the current year:

Board of Directors

R. Bud Snyder, President president@henriettafoundation.org
Bud has an extensive background in management and engineering for Rochester companies such as Bausch and Lomb, Eldre Corp., and General Dynamics. He has been involved in the United Way and is currently a member of the Henrietta Conservation Board. In his spare time he enjoys hiking and bicycling the trail with his family and restoring classic cars.

Paul H. Davis, Vice President vpresident@henriettafoundation.org
A lifelong resident of Henrietta, Paul works for Kraft Foods and has served as vice commander and finance officer of the Ely-Fagan American Legion Post. He has organized the post's annual golf tournament since 2000. Paul keeps active in post events and volunteering his time at Executive South. In the little tree time we all have, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, cycling the local roads and trails, and golfing whenever it isn't raining.

Elizabeth (Liz) Thomson, Secretary secretary@henriettafoundation.org
Elizabeth has worked with the Boy and Girl Scouts on outdoor projects and badges and is involved with Henrietta Neighbors United, the Henrietta Garden Club, and Literacy Volunteers of Rochester. She enjoys nature study, gardening, and traveling.

Committee Chairpersons

William (Bill) Dykstra, Project Director projectdirector@henriettafoundation.org
Bill is the Henrietta Foundation’s project director. Bill has been in the landscaping and tree service business for more than 45 years. He is past director of parks for the Town of Henrietta, was part of the planning team for the Lehigh Valley Trail's North Branch, and also developed Tinker Nature Park/Hansen Nature Center (an environmental teaching facility) as well as other parks. He is a New York certified nursery professional and municipal arborist and is a past member of the Monroe County Environmental Council, New York State Parks and Recreation, Genesee Valley Nursery and Landscape Association, and the New York Baseball Umpire’s Association. Bill is an avid fisherman.

Paul Pakusch, Bookkeeper
Paul keeps the books for the Foundation. In addition to being a freelance bookkeeper, he works for a local TV station. For 20 years, he was the treasurer for NABET-CWA Local 22, the broadcasters' union. Paul is an avid bicycle rider and private pilot. He loves to travel and plays drums in tow marching bands: the Excelsior Brigade Fife and Drum Corps, and the Kendall Firemen's Band. You can see him perform locally in the Excelsior Brigade at the Tinker Homestead's annual Civil War re-enactment.

Carol Pennington, Membership Coordinator membership@henriettafoundation.org
Carol coordinates the Foundation’s publicity and membership efforts. The retired town clerk and receiver of taxes for the Town of Henrietta, Carol has always had an interest in the town. She was one of the founding members of the Foundation and attended the inaugural meeting. Carol serves on the Finger Lakes Advisory Council and several other volunteer committees. Her favorite pastimes are gardening, relaxing, and feeding and watching the many varieties of local and migrating birds.

Dot Clause, Trail Garden Club Chairperson TrailGardeners@henriettafoundation.org
Dot coordinates the Trail Garden Club, a group specifically devoted to the care and upkeep of the public garden at the Trail's parking lot on East Henrietta Road. She welcomes your green thumbs in helping to keep our garden beautiful for everyone's enjoyment.

Gene Gillan, Trail Manager Trailmanager@henriettafoundation.org
Gene is in charge of keeping the trails in tip top shape. Contact Gene to help with the trail's upkeep—ridding the kiosk of bees, picking up the parking lot, cutting brush from the sides of the trail—or to alert her of any problems you might see.
